The youth hostel is located in the middle of the Schlaubetal Nature Park. As an environmental youth hostel, it offers hands-on environmental education as well as fun and games for school trips, groups, families and other guests on a 20,000 square metre natural site. The historic main building is the former miller's house and serves as a community centre. Up to 136 people can stay in 4 group houses with 4-bed rooms (WC/shower). Each of these group houses has its own lounge. The historic mill cellar with a fireplace and a barbecue and campfire area offer the opportunity to relax in the evening in a cosy atmosphere.

Right next door, there are hiking tours through the varied landscape shaped by the Ice Age along the Schlaube river and its lakes, through diverse forests, meadows and moors, on nature trails, for bird watching and in the footsteps of the Neuzeller monastery brothers.

The proximity to the towns of Beeskow, Eisenhüttenstadt and Frankfurt (Oder) allows for many other leisure activities.

There is a locked storage facility for bicycles.
