Dominant is the approx. 13 km long Ruppiner lake and the Rhin with its innumerable possibilities for hikers, cyclists and water sportsmen. It is only a few minutes' walk to the bathing place at Ruppiner See or to the nearby forest. The Rhin (approx. 200 m) is ideal for paddling. Bicycles, canoes and boats can be hired in the village. Alt Ruppin is a good starting point for cycling. A well-developed network of paths makes your bike tour in the footsteps of Fontane an experience. Rheinsberg and its castle, for example, are only 1.5 hours away by bike. Neuruppin has many sights that worth seeing.
