A former drugstore in Senftenberg has taken on a new life. After closing its door after 60 years at the beginning of the 90s, in 2016 it reopened as a restaurant, wine cellar and cookery school, having been carefully renovated under the direction of an art historian. The former drugstore combines modernity with tradition, and impresses with surprising elements in a charming and relaxed atmosphere. One building, three levels, and many possibilities for connoisseurs.

Restaurant

Located on the ground floor of the drugstore, the restaurant serves modern German cuisine using local products but with subtle international influences. The menu contains alternating dishes in uncompromisingly high quality – always accompanied by an aperitif, cocktail or fine wine. In short, both taste and craftsmanship for discerning connoisseurs.

The restaurant can seat up to 38 guests and has an adjoining terrace. It can be used for both private celebrations and special occasions.

Wine cellar

The cosy wine cellar can accommodate up to 25 guests. With its somewhat more rustic ambience, it is open to restaurant visitors and is particularly suitable for private events and family celebrations. Wine seminars with selected wines are regularly held by experts in the wine cellar. The drugstore’s aim: to present the area’s most interesting wine list.

Cookery school

The drugstore’s cookery school is located on the upper floor. It features an Art Nouveau wall painting that is unique in the region, giving the room a very special character. Up to 21 guests can take part in the cookery courses and live cooking events. Under the guidance of a chef-coach, guests create a 3- to 4-course menu themselves that is based on the cooking style of the restaurant, and experience an unforgettable evening.

The restaurant is also ideal for business meetings and Christmas parties.
