The park was initially intended for a horticultural show and exhibition of roses to mark the 25th jubilee of the coronation of Emperor William II in the year 1913.

More than 100 years later visitors can gaze at thousands of rosebushes in over 900 varieties spreading across 17 hectares in  one of Germany’s most beautiful Parks. Artistically designed sculptures, pergola courts, romantic water fountains, art nouveau-style gardens and park elements resembling the English landscape style appeal to visitors and invite to stay. 

Throughout the year the historic park offers an enchanting backdrop for weddings, family celebrations, and exclusive business events or - alternatively the ideal place for a recreational stroll.
