Since 2007, beer has been brewed again in Bad Belzig - at Burgbräuhaus Bad Belzig! Three varieties are always on offer: Burgbräu Hell, Burgbräu Spezial and Burgbräu Dunkel, as well as other seasonal specialities such as their exclusive champagne rye beer. The Eggenstein private brewery particularly values the fact that their beer specialities are unfiltered and unpasteurised.

Since 2012, their unique “Old Sandhill” single malt cask whiskey has been distilled in the district town of Bad Belzig. The name comes from the former neighbourhood of Sandberg where the brewery and distillery are located. The whiskey has to be aged in oak casks for at least five years before it can be served.

On a tour of the brewery and distillery, visitors can take a look behind the scenes and learn about the steps involved in the brewing and distilling processes. And if you are unable to visit in person, you can also order the high proof "Old Sandhill" whiskey online, including a beautiful gift set with two matching glasses so you can enjoy it at its best.

Please note: Brewery/Distillery tour min. 15 persons, Euro 12 per person including a 0.3 l beer of your choice
