Extensive land management is practised at Schradenhof GmbH’s organic farm covering a total area of 400 hectares. In addition to the rearing of 180 suckler cows, a large area of the farm is given over to meadow orchards. This fruit is then sold after harvesting on the field or on the company’s premises. The fruit from the many trees, which are grown without chemical fertilizer, is also processed into juice or spirits, fruit wine and fruit spreads. The farm’s own range includes organic apple, quince and pear juice as well as mixed juices containing elder, a home-produced organic liqueur, an elder liqueur and various fruit liqueurs. The products can be purchased in the small farm shop on the company premises in Gröden, and in organic and wholefood shops and healthfood shops in Cottbus, Dresden and Elsterwerda. Products can also be ordered online or by telephone.
