The hotel is located in the Schmargendorf district and enjoys a quiet setting on the outskirts of the village, on a small rise within the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve, at the edge of the “Grumsin Beech Forest” UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Nearby are Lake Plunzsee and Lake Parsteinsee.
