The Grumsin Distillery is located in the “Buchenwald Grumsin” World Natural Heritage Site and is an excellent destination for a trip combined with a walk through the Grumsin forest. You can join a guided tour, sample and buy the products or enjoy your own individual celebration in the distillery.

World Natural Heritage Site & Distillery

The two-and-a-half-hour forest walk starts at the Luisenhof bus stop and runs through the Buchenwald Grumsin World Natural Heritage Site to the distillery. Expert guides provide information about the flora and fauna. After a hearty snack, the guided tour of the distillery provides an insight into the production of brandies, spirits and liqueurs, including a tasting of GRUMSIN specialities.

Dates: April to November, 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Start at 11 a.m., at the Luisenhof bus stop (BiberBus Line 462, april to october).

Gourmet Evening

On the first Friday of each month, the distillery hosts a Gourmet Evening when, after a short guided tour, GRUMSIN products can be enjoyed with delicious gourmet food.

Gin tastings and distillers’ courses round off the options for exploring and enjoying our distilled products.

For example, what about creating your own barrel of top-grade alcohol for an anniversary? You can fill your barrel in our historic cellars, store it there and after three years and a day, your own whisky will be ready.
