Scheunenherberge - slightly different accommodation in the Spreewald Forest. A former cowshed has been transformed into a quaint hostel that is particularly suitable for families, clubs, companies, cyclists, water tourists and school classes. Eight people can sleep overnight nestled in the straw in their sleeping bags in each of the 4 rustically decorated 'stables' on the ground floor. Showers, toilets and wash rooms are of course also available. All rooms are heated. Alternative accommodation is available for people with allergies. Sleeping bags and blankets are also available to hire. The attic area houses 6 double rooms, 3 single rooms and 3 holiday apartments. A sauna is available for guests to relax in after a day in the Spreewald Forest. Guests canuse the large recreation room as a games, television and reading room. A hearty breakfast is served in the rustic coffee shop, where guests can enjoy ice cream, coffee and cake, all homemade on the farm. This room (40-60 seats) is available to hire for family, company and other events from November to March. The sleeping and sanitary facilities on the ground floor and the coffee shop are suitable for wheelchair users. Guests have access to parking, a playground, a barbecue area, bicycle rental and a garage on the large farm yard. Younger guests are welcome to stroke the farm's own cows, pigs and goats. The proximity of the Gurkenradweg and Hofjagdweg cycle paths, the 66 lakeside hiking trails and the punting boat harbour on the Spree River make this the perfect place for active guests to enjoy a holiday full of activities. We can arrange punting boat tours, horse-drawn carriage rides and boat rental for you.
