Buckow, the only state-recognised Kneipp health resort in Brandenburg, has been a popular excursion and recreation destination east of Berlin for over 100 years. 150 kilometres of marked hiking trails through the charming forest and lake landscape of Märkische Schweiz, clear bathing lakes and magnificent viewpoints invite you to enjoy an unforgettable nature holiday. Art lovers will also get their money's worth at the annual literary summer in the Brecht-Weigel House or at open-air concerts in the reconstructed castle park.

In the centre of Buckow, where there was once a border castle, later a mill and then a hot baths, the Märkische Schweiz tourist information centre is located in a lovingly restored half-timbered house. Just behind the house is a herb garden with a Kneipp treading pool and arm plunge pool as well as the entrance to the castle park. A tried and tested mix to get to know: nature, culture and relaxation.
