The Palais Brut in Müncheberg is an outstanding example of the creative transformation of East German prefabricated architecture into a modern, sustainable vacation home. Originally built in 1990 as a semi-detached house of the GDR type WBS 70, the building was extensively redesigned by owner Patrick Petzold and architect Hans Sasse. The characteristic exposed aggregate concrete façade was deliberately retained, while the interior was converted into two light-flooded, spacious vacation apartments.

The larger **Duplex Apartment** offers 135 m² of space for up to eight people with three bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen/living room, gallery level and two bathrooms. The smaller **studio apartment** with 55 m² is ideal for couples. Both units have their own terraces with views of the extensive garden and surrounding fields. A special highlight is the communal garden sauna, which offers year-round relaxation.

The interior design combines raw concrete surfaces with warm wooden elements and carefully selected vintage furniture, much of which has been recycled or restored. This blend of old and new creates a unique atmosphere that preserves the charm of the original prefabricated building while offering modern living comfort.

Situated on the edge of Märkische Schweiz, Palais Brut is an ideal starting point for nature and culture lovers. There are numerous lakes, hiking and cycling trails nearby, as well as cultural institutions such as the Brecht House in Buckow. In addition, the hotel's own Maxbee apiary offers insights into sustainable beekeeping and honey production.

Palais Brut is an inspiring example of the sensitive treatment of existing buildings that sets new standards both architecturally and ecologically.
