The well-restored town wall, the only enclosed brick wall in Germany with a length of nearly two and a half kilometres, is something really special. The imposing St.-Marien-Kirche church, the Kreismuseen Alte Bischofsburg regional museums and the observation and memorial platform commemorating the Battle of Wittstock in 1636 are further highlights in the medieval atmosphere.

The tourist information centre in the new railway station building not only offers information about the town and the surrounding area, but also room rental and a souvenir shop. It also arranges package deals and bicycle tours and serves as a ticket office for cultural and leisure activities, amongst other things. Individual guided tours can be booked in advance all year round, but also take place on Saturdays from May to October at 11:30 a.m.
