The staff provides comprehensive and knowledgeable advice to both the residents of Potsdam and the city's visitors, covering both mobility and tourism services under one roof. In line with the guiding principle: "Ask us... we know what's happening, the best way to get there – and we're happy to share!" This combination of services aligns with the goals of the involved partners, aiming to promote eco-friendly mobility and sustainable tourism.

The Tourist Information, as part of the "mobiagentur", offers advice on tourist and cultural services. Guests receive insider tips for their stay in Potsdam, can book city tours by bus, bike, or on foot, and purchase souvenirs. The services also include accommodation bookings, and tickets are sold for Potsdam’s palaces, theaters, museums, boat tours, events, and the Potsdam Berlin WelcomeCard. As a registered Refill Station, guests can also fill their drinking bottles with tap water for free.

The "mobiagentur" in Potsdam consolidates all mobility services and offers for the use of public transportation. In addition to well-known services such as route information, fare advice, and ticket sales for the VBB fare and all ODEG services, the "mobiagentur" also provides advice on multimodal transport options and sustainable mobility. Additional services, such as subscription services (ViP-ABO), are also offered.

The "mobiagentur" opened on February 27, 2020, and is a joint project of the city of Potsdam, ViP Verkehrsbetrieb Potsdam GmbH, and Potsdam Marketing and Service GmbH. The project is supported by Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH. The renovation and equipment for the Tourist Information within the "mobiagentur" are funded by federal and state resources as part of the joint task "Improvement of Regional Economic Structure – GRW Infrastructure". It is a key project within the activities of the city of Potsdam aimed at achieving the goals of the Integrated Climate Protection Concept and the Climate Protection Master Plan.
