Out of love for fresh, fragrant, lemony, spicy, licorice and many other aromas, KräuterZiegelei primarily grows local herbs in fields in the Rietz area near Treuenbrietzen. One of the company's specialties is the cultivation of Moldavian dragon's head. This is an annual plant that is not yet well known in northern Europe. Due to its drought resistance, it is very well suited to the changing conditions in summer in our latitudes. The blue flowers have a wonderful lemony flavor and are processed into tea.

The herbs are grown organically and according to the principles of regenerative agriculture. Following the so-called agroforestry principle, lime trees, speierling, elms, wild pears, rowanberries and wild serviceberries are planted in the fields. Rows of various native shrubs facing north/south reduce wind erosion and help to keep the valuable humus in place. The herbs are used to make herbal teas and spices, which are available at markets and in the online store.
