The BARNIM PANORAMA features the visitor centre of Barnim Nature Park and the Wandlitz agricultural museum under one roof - a unique combination in Germany. An impressive new building with a wooden façade in the historical village centre of Wandlitz accommodates the exhibition "Geformte und Genutzte Landschaft" (shaped and used landscape). The 1,650-square metre exhibition tells the history of Barnim from the wilderness of the ice age to the modern cultural landscape, bringing the topics of agriculture, nature and technology to life.

The modern ensemble features many attractions. The multimedia show "20.000 Jahre in 300 Sekunden" (20,000 years in 300 seconds) shows what the "wild Barnim" may have looked like before the arrival of humans. The "tractor herd", agricultural machines lined up like a herd of animals that appears to be rushing towards the visitors, is very impressive: from the legendary Lanz-Bulldog to the ZT 323, the GDR's last tractor, and all the way to modern high-tech equipment. Another highlight is the walk-in map. It illustrates the geographical dimensions of the nature park and the district of Barnim. It gives you a bird's eye view of the landscape.

Outside in the show garden you can discover the diversity of our crop plants and familiarise yourself with other well-known and lesser-known species and varieties. An explorer trail with tree house, amphitheatre and an outdoor stage encourages children in particular to discover, explore and marvel.

This is more than a museum: here you discover the cultural landscape of Barnim in a completely new way with all your senses!
