The island village Leipe (Lipja = linden tree in the Sorbish language) towers two metres above the river Hauptspree that the stream Leipsche Grobla joins here. The two rivers then flow on towards Lübbenau and past the weir that is visible from ‘Spreewaldhof Leipe’. Our guest house ‘Spreewaldhof’ with its distinct ‘Fischerstübchen’ restaurant has its roots in a traditional farm. This is still reflected in our hearty regional cuisine and in the rural style of the house and the whole premises.

‘Spreewald Forest is a green place of rest and comfort.’

Enjoy carefully selected regional dishes that are prepared with love. Choose from home-made salads and jams from our breakfast buffet, or traditional fare from our menu of typical dishes of the Spreewald region. The chefs at our 'Fischerstübchen’ restaurant are dedicated to preparing delicious food. Fresh fish is smoked every day during the season.

Spreewaldhof in Leipe is all about nature: Our premises are a great starting point for leisure activities in the outdoors. We are happy to arrange days out, exploring Spreewald Forest on the water, on foot or by bike. You can rent paddle boats and bicycles from us, and we also organise punting tours taking off directly from our farm.

We are located right in the middle of nature, in the village Leipe. The lovely green countryside is bound to make you forget about hectic and stressful city life in no time. You are very welcome to come here to relax, recharge your batteries and enjoy the landscape and flair of Spreewald Forest.
