Wilsnack was once an importance place of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages. The town’s landmark is the late-Gothic Wunderblutkirche St. Nikolai Church, which dominates the town and is regarded as a monument of national importance. It houses sights, including the Shrine to the Holy Blood and the most important collection of medieval stained glass in Brandenburg. It is also a venue for regular concerts, houses an exhibition on pilgrimage, and has a One World shop with souvenirs and Fair Trade products. An audio guide (German/English/children's version) is available for a small rental charge, and guided tours of the church are available on request.
